Black Walnut lots of shade my lawn won’t grow.

I am thinking of putting in clover. I’ve tried all sorts of grass but the massive black walnut in my backyard seems to be killing off everything. Would you recommend clover as a solution? If so what kind? Also how do I go about getting seeds, and when/how do I plant it?

Growing grass or clover under trees can be a challenge because the trees provide so much shade and compete for all the moisture and nutrients available in the soil.
