(Question)

My downtown Toronto (Cabbagetown) gardens were professionally designed about 12 years ago and need an update. There is no grass: front yard is a perennial garden anchored with 2 magnolia stellata, boxwood and yew hedges. The backyard is a garden sitting room with pergola and wisteria. I want to hire a master gardener who would provide advice and do the planting work. I hope you can assist me as your organization was suggested to me by James Dale at Earth Inc. Thank you

Thank you for contacting the Toronto Master Gardeners with your inquiry.

Toronto Master Gardeners are part of the greater Master Gardeners of Ontario Inc.  We are a non-profit volunteer organization with a mandate to disseminate up-to-date, practical and sound horticultural information to the general public.  We do this through educational workshops, seminars, lecture series and by answering gardening questions by phone, via our web site or in-person at various events throughout our local communities.

Below you will find a link for Landscape Ontario.  Landscape Ontario is the horticultural trades association for the province, and through their website you will be able to locate various garden services in your particular area.  Rest assured, all of the landscapers recommended are accredited members of the organization so you can be confident of the quality of service they provide.
