I would like to plant a garden with Lilacs, Lambs Ear, Daisies and Forget me not. I am not permitted to grow any noxious weeds where I live. Are any of these plants noxious weeds, poisonous or cause bad allergies?
None of these plants are on the Ontario Noxious Weed List, or are poisonous, however forget me not and some species of daisies can freely seed and become invasive if conditions are optimal. You may wish to choose some native flower species to attract butterflies to your garden and avoid the risk of a forget me not invasion. Lilac can sucker, so are considered minor invasive species in upland areas of Ontario, but can be grown in Toronto. Here is the noxious weed list for Ontario: http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/crops/facts/noxious_weeds.htm
