Remove or Leave it?
I found this plant growing in amongst my peppers and couldn’t identify it. Is not disrupting anything so I was going to let it continue to see what happens but I can’t for the life of my identify it. It has a red base and the leaves grow all over. I have 2 of them.
The plant shown in your photograph looks very much like a weed that appears in my garden from time to time. The bottom portion of the stem of my weed is also red. It develops a very small, pale purple flower. I’ve not been able to find it in any of my reference material on weeds and wild flowers of Ontario so I am unable to identify it. When I find it growing in my garden, I do pull it. I would suggest that you do the same as you do not want it to interfere with the growth of your pepper plants nor do you want it to take up nutrients from the soil that your pepper plants need. If you decide to allow it to grow, it is best not to let it go to seed as it may become invasive.
