Check the moistness of your containers before watering by poking a finger down an inch or two. Water at the base of the plant and water in the morning so that the plants have time to absorb the water before the heat of the day. Water until the water runs out of the bottom drainage holes. If your container is sitting in a saucer, be sure to empty the saucer of excess water after you have watered and also after a rainfall.
