I am interested in contacting other gardners in the Toronto area who are interested in buying, selling, trading fig plants or fig cuttings.
Are you aware of any groups or “active” online forums on this topic.

I would begin by approaching the Horticultural Societies in Toronto. Each society usually organizes a plant swap/sale. Garden Toronto provides a list of Horticultural Clubs and Societies.
You could also try a google search for “Plant trade forums”. I did a quick search and found National Gardening Association which has a plant seed and trade forum.
Hopefully these suggestions give you a good place to start.
