Repotting African violet

(Question)

Our old African violets fell, smashed and now need emergency help repotting them.

I hope you have already attempted to repot the best crowns left after the damage. The plants will grow again so now is your chance to pot them up again in clean pots and fresh potting soil. Often older violets develop long necks as older leaves are removed. If this is the case you can remove some of the root ball and plant the violet in a similar sized pot by planting it lower in the pot and cover the neck up to the lowest leaves. This will give it a fresh start. Good luck.
