Hi, I have an Amaryllis from last year. I stopped watering it in August. Most of the leaves have dried up but there is one stubborn one that won’t quit. Should I cut it off and put the bulb in the dark or should I leave it alone? Also, does the dark have to be cold or cool?
I think that since most of the leaves have dried up, you can cut off that stubborn one. During the dormancy period, the plant should be kept in a cool, dark place.
Amaryllis plants can be kept year after year with the right care. For a detailed explanation, please see this answer to another gardener’s question to us here.
