are these chokecherries, or some other type of bush?

growing on an island in Georgian bay.

This looks like Pin Cherry, Prunus pensylvanica.  Lance like leaves,  trunk with horizontal papery strips and fruit with slender stalks. See this link:

The Eastern Choke Cherry, Prunus virginiana has a more broadly oval leaf with drooping clusters of 6-12 fruit.
