Emerald Cedar Trees

(Question)

Hi,

I have a massive spider mite infestation around 20 emerald cedar trees that I planted. How do I get rid of them?

Thank-you for contacting Toronto Master Gardeners with your question about spidermites on your Emerald Cedar trees. These are very popular plants and we have some good information resources on the website for you to check out. Simply type “Emerald Cedar” in the FIND IT HERE located on the right side of the page.

As noted in the above answer, a good first step is to apply a strong spray of water to the plants every day for 3 or 4 days. If this doesn’t work, you can try using an insecticidal soap.

Best of luck with your cedars!
