Why is our tree so spindly you can see right thru the tree. Why not thicker growth on the branches? Thanku

Dear gardener, thank you for your inquiry to the Toronto Master Gardeners. I see that you had the same question in June of 2020 and I am sorry that your spruce tree is still not doing any better. The guidelines that were offered then will hopefully allow you to improve the growing conditions of your spruce tree. Please try adding composted sheep manure and mulch around the tree this spring, and I hope that you will see an improvement in your tree.
