First spring wildflower – coltsfoot

I am in Simcoe County a bit behind Toronto in climate and blooms; however, I may suggest the only blooming flower in the forest today is the Coltsfoot in sparse locations on the trails, but more abundant close to the shorelines.

Thanks for letting us know that Tussilago farfara has already made it’s presence known this year.  Let’s hope for some trilliums soon!
