I recently repotted all my indoor plants, using the same bag of potting soil. One of them has developed an infestation of “fruit flies” (that’s what they look like).
I would like to know how to make a home made insecticide to eliminate them. Thank you!
Infestations can be bothersome, especially on houseplants.
Toronto Master Gardeners do not recommend or endorse home remedies, but instead we would suggest that you consider the use of a commercial product such as an insecticidal soap that you will find at major home and garden centres and nurseries. Be sure to check the underside of your leaves since this is often where many insects congregate.
