I’ve transplanted this anywhere needed in the garden in any soil conditions, but don’t know its name. It looks like the stem has been ‘threaded’ through a hole in the leaf.
How great that you have a plant that you can reliably put anywhere in your garden and it will do well! Your plant appears to be either Uvularia perfoliata (perfoliate bellwort) or the larger Uvularia grandiflora (large-flowered bellwort, Great Merrybells). “Larger” is a relative term, however, as U. grandiflora only reaches a mature height of 24 inches. Both species have the characteristic leaves that appear to be pierced by the stem and both have downward-hanging yellow flowers in the spring.
Here is some additional information on this beautiful perennial.
