Ivy and Virginia creeper

What kind of Ivy is growing on the exterior of Havergal private school in Toronto?

The Grounds Manager at Havergal College has confirmed that the plant growing on the west wall of the College is English ivy (Hedera helix).  The plant growing on the north wall is not an ivy at all but Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) from the Grape (Vitaceae) family.  Virginia creeper is native to Ontario and unlike the evergreen English ivy it is a deciduous plant.  You can read more about Virginia creeper at the Evergreen link below.  The American Ivy Society website is an excellent source of information on English and other ivies.
