I need advice about my lawn. It is alkaline, I have watered, fertilized it and used Eco Lawn seed. It still does not look particularly lush.
Make sure your lawn seed is comprised of fescues with additions of rye grasses and stay away from a Kentucky Blue grass as it takes too much maintenance. Use a natural fertilizer in the spring and another in the fall. I have found that was adequate and I do not fertilize four times a year. Aerate if the area has experienced heavy compaction. Your grass should receive a good rake and a good soil or humus over the lawn in the spring. Make sure it gets an inch of water per week.
Please see this past question for more information to lawn maintenance.
