I’m still looking for ways to improve our condo development but not getting much support from the management. Someone has recently recommended a sweet pea climber. What can you tell me about this plant?
You might be referring to perennial sweet pea, Lathyrus latifolius. It is a fast-growing, clambering vine that bears pinky-mauve flowers – usually as a first flush, then sporadically through the summer. It will require a trellis or some climbing structure. It does spread by underground rhizomes/suckers so will probably require some maintenance.
Hope this helps!
