Can anyone tell me if the Sarococca Confusa is a good plant to grow in Toronto? I need a plant that grows in a flowere bed up against the front side of my house that virtually gets little to no sun. I don’t like Ferns or Hostas since I need something with a little bit of height (between 3-6 feet). Any suggestions? Also, I can’t seem to find any nurseries that carry the Sweetbox. Is there a reason for this?
Thank you.

Thank you for your question.

Sarcococca confusa, or Sweetbox is a low-growing, compact evergreen shrub with glossy dark green foliage and fragrant, cream-coloured flowers.

It is listed to grow in a Canadian hardiness zone 7, so unfortunately not a good choice for Toronto.  Typically in Toronto the hardiness zone corresponds to a zone 6.  If your garden is farther from the lake, you might be in Canadian Zone 5a or 5b.
