Spring flower- very small bluebell like flowers. What are they? I was given a small pot of these flowers.
The flower in question is Grape hyacinth (Muscari sp.). They are a spring flowering bulb blooming in mid spring. They are great for the front of the border but can also be grown under trees and shrubs as an early interest before leaves appear on the trees or shrubs. They naturalize readily and a profusion of these flowers can be a lovely accent in any spring garden. When they are done blooming, find a sunny, well-drained spot in your garden in which to plant them. They’ll reward you every year with a spectacular show.
