I live in the middle of Wisconsin. I am wondering how long the Boston Ivy leaves would remain on the vine before they drop? Would it be the same as trees in the fall, or do they hang on a bit longer into November? Thanks
Hello, Wisconsin gardener,
Looks like you are in USDA Zone 4, which is near the limit of hardiness for Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata). That means the vine can be a little more tender than its cousin Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) and might drop its leaves earlier in the fall season, especially if sited in an exposed position.
However, the Wisconsin Master Gardener program should have information specific to your area. I suggest you contact them or your local extension service through this link: http://wimastergardener.org/
Good luck with your garden.
