When should wisteria bloom?

When should a wisteria vine regrow its leaves and bloom?

(Answer)

Keeping in mind that a wisteria may take several years to mature, sometimes as many as five, before it comes into bloom, there are many, many, other factors affecting the timing of blooms on wisteria. These include the amount of sunlight or shade, ferilizer, quality of the plants, pruning and drainage, (They dislike wet feet.)  In our Q and A section of our website,under “Climbers and Vines” posted April 14, 2013, it was noted that wisteria “have their own maturity clock for blooming.” How true.
