A gardener at Rosetta Maclain identified a burgundy leafed vine as “Mina Lobeta” and said the city grows them from seed in their greenhouse. Where can I get some seeds?
Mina lobata is now known as Ipomoea lobata. It has many common names, such as Spanish Flag, Firecracker vine, and Mexican Fiesta. This spectacular vine is native to Brazil, and the cascading red-tipped, cream flowers put on a spectacular show. More information on cultivation can be found here:
