Hellebores are a fairly tough group of perennials in the buttercup family (Ranunculus). They flower through winter until spring with the exact time and length of flowering depending on the species or hybrid. The flowers are long lasting.
Helleborus are usually the first plants you see for sale at the garden centers from January-March. My suggestion would be to use the Landscape Ontario website found here to locate a retail store in the area. I would call ahead to see if they have any for sale.
Alternatively, you can purchase bulbs online. After a quick goggle search I found both Breck’s and Vesey’s sell them. You may have to place your order ahead of time if they are out of stock as these plants are quite popular.
