White flies on Hibiscus Plant

(Question)

How do I get rid of white fly on a Hibiscus plant?

(Answer)

Try to take the plant outside and hose it down with water. Spray with soapy water after initial wash down.

All of these treatments need to be repeated every 3 to 4 days as there are different stages to white fly development.

Remove by hand any of the heavily infected leaves.

Clean the soil around the plant to prevent further development.

Spray with an insecticidal soap on the top and underside of the leaves. If none of these work one may need to dispose of the plant to prevent infection of other plants.
