Wormwood (Artemisia biennis)

(Question)

A massive carpet of this plant started very early in the garden this year (new home with previous garden). Seems very delicate, grows fairly fast (now almost 6 inches high)

Any thoughts?

It appears to be biennial wormwood (Artemisia biennis) also known as carrot weed, which reproduces by seed. It is classified as a weed by OMAFRA and is a member of the Aster family.

It is commonly found throughout Ontario, thriving in old fields, meadows and fence lines.
