I believe this plant is Yucca filamentosa Yucca . The common name is Adam’s Needle. It has really sharp ends on the stems, so be careful! Although not native to Ontario, it is quite hardy here. It is native from New York’s Long Island through to Florida and west of there. There are many varieties of yucca and it is sometimes hard to tell them apart, but filamentosa has strands of fibres along its leaves. I can’t see these in your photo, but the height description rules out other smaller yuccas found in Ontario like Yucca glauca.
