There’s a bit of good news from the Cornell Wildlife Health Lab.
While avian flu is currently a serious threat to farmed poultry and larger waterfowl, “passerines do not seem susceptible to HPAI and are not thought to play a significant role in spreading this virus. (They) are not recommending removal of bird feeders at this point.”
Always remember to clean feeders frequently to prevent the spread of other pathogens.
