Demo: Grow Milkweeds for Monarch Butterflies at Flemingdon Park Library

Environmental conditions, habitat loss and use of pesticides and herbicides greatly affect the population of Monarch butterflies. Help save this important pollinator by growing milkweed plants, the Monarch caterpillar’s sole source of food! Fall is the best time to plant milkweed seeds and a member from the Toronto Master Gardeners will show you how. Seed, potting soil and 4″ pots will be provided for up to ten participants.
