September 29, 2013 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pmFree. Food tickets are available for purchase.
On Sunday September 29th, from 11 am – 4 pm, join in the fun at the David Suzuki Foundation’s
first-ever Homegrown Park Crawl (www.davidsuzuki.org/parkcrawl)
Enjoy delicious food and great music as you crawl – by foot, bike or canoe – between four city parks along Toronto’s former Garrison Creek corridor. Join 20 homegrown food vendors, fun musical acts and the David Suzuki Foundation’s team of Neigbourhood Park Rangers in celebration of the first year of the Homegrown National Park Project. Each of the four parks – Christie Pits, Bickford Park, Fred Hamilton Park and Trinity Bellwoods – will host food booths, entertainment and eco-activities. Participants will be led from one park to the next by parade marshals and musical acts.
Earlybird food tickets (6 for $20) are on sale until Sept 22nd at https://ow.ly/oP2St and at food stations on the day of the event.
All proceeds will support the David Suzuki Foundation’s Homegrown National Park Project.
The Toronto Master Gardeners will be on hand offering free gardening advice in Trinity Bellwoods Park from 2 – 4 pm.
