LEAF Training Program for York Region Emerald Ash Borer Volunteers May 31

LEAF, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the protection and improvement of the urban forest, often partners with Toronto Master Gardeners to provide information to the gardening public.

On May 31, LEAF is conducting a training program to create Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) volunteers to help combat the infestation of this insect, which is killing all of the ash trees in York Region. Volunteers will learn how to identify ash trees and the signs of EAB, the most effective ways to share information with their neighbours, and about planting programs to get new trees growing in their neighbourhoods. All attendees will receive a resource kit.

Saturday, May 31, 2014 – 10:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.
