Spruce Trees Mysteriously Dropping Healthy Twigs? Blame the Squirrels!

A recent OMAFRA posting provided the solution to a recurring fall mystery — spruce twigs fallen to the ground, but with no sign of disease or insect damage. The culprits? Squirrels accidentally snipping off twigs while eagerly removing mature cones in order to snack on the tasty seeds within.
