(Question)
I am interested in advice on a beautiful plant that will mature and cover the wall by climbing. It is for an area that receives a lot of sun but little water (because it is sheltered from rain by the garage eaves/soffits).
I just bought two English Ivy plants from Home Depot and planted them against the wall, 5-6 feet apart from each other – see picture attached. Was this a good choice?

Hedera helix, commonly known as English Ivy, is native to Europe, western Asia and northern Africa. It is a vigorous, aggressive, fast-growing, woody evergreen perennial.
Here you will find a good article explaining how to grow Ivy.
This article is an excellent resource to find more climbers.
