Is there any other plants that grows as tall?
We bought our house with these unknown and exotic plants
Nothing says summer like a field of bright yellow sunflowers. Sunflowers are heat tolerant, disease resistant and the best part is that one can harvest and eat the seeds- as long as the birds don’t beat you to it. Sunflowers (Helianthus) are available as both an annual or a perennial, however the exotic looking large flower heads which can grow up to 16′ are annuals. Even though perennial sunflowers don’t grow as tall as 16′ there are a number of perennials which will reach 10′ you might want to check out the following:
Helianthus maximiliani, Helianthus ‘Lemon Queen, Helianthus salicifolius
