Crimson Queen Japanese Maple

(Question)

I live in Scarborough and my front yard is facing east and has no tree in the front of my house. I have planted the japanese maple about 2 weeks ago. Is it because of no shade in front yard and very windy sometimes, the maple starts to have brown tips on the leaves? I have checked on youtube that there is sunscreen for plants. Does it help? What can I do?

Japanese Maples are quite susceptible to environmental conditions if not in the correct location, however, with some care you should be able to take care of your new purchase.

Please water your Japanese Maple thoroughly and follow the guidelines provided in a previous posting on our web site.  See the link below.
