Remontant or non-remontant rose identification?

(Question)

How do I identify whether a rose flowers more than once seasonally, aside from memory?
The wonderful thing about being behind in pruning roses this year is that a barrier was removed nearby, so the peonies need less attention this year because they’re getting less shade and have more space away from the removed barrier .
Is there a guide for identifying roses for next year in the reference list, while I stake the roses?
Guilt isn’t worth cultivating in gardening because there’s no reward.
Thank you

Thank you for contacting the Toronto Master Gardeners with your inquiry.

Unless you know the species and cultivar of your rose, there is not a general way to know of the are remontant or not.

I have attached a link to a general guide to pruning roses based on known types and species and if they are repeating.
