I am wondering where I can buy species tulips in GTA.

Species tulips are special, and they will be in your garden for years, much longer than the usual hybrid tulips. Since tulips are usually planted anytime from late September through mid November in the GTA, you won’t find any for purchase right now. And they are harder to find than hybrid tulips, as you probably know. As a matter of policy we cannot recommend specific businesses, however you can find reputable garden centres listed on the Landscape Ontario website. Just enter ‘Retail Garden Centres’ in the search bar on their main page. Later in the summer, you could call a few to see who carries species tulips and when they will be available. I think your better bet could be to order them online and have them shipped to you when it’s the right time for planting. There are bulb catalogs available online now that you can browse through. Just do a search for ‘buy bulbs online Canada’ and you should get a list of that you can choose from.
