Substitute Plant for Cilantro Plant

(Question)

Hello, I have not been successful growing cilantro in my garden or on my windowsill. I have read that Vietnamese Coriander is a good substitute. Do you know where I can purchase these plants and/or seeds in North York/ Toronto?
Thank you.

Vietnamese Coriander (Polygonum odoratum) is known by several names including Vietnamese mint, Cambodian mint, Chinese parsley, laksa leaf and the Vietnamese name “rau ram – daun kesom”.  The herb can be found at area garden centres so you would have to call around to see which ones carry it.

There was a presentation given on the topic of Vietnamese Coriander in the past at Richters Herbs north of Toronto so you may want to give them a call at 1-905-640-6677 and ask if they know where you might find it local to you.
