Thuja Green Giant pruning

(Question)

I planted 3-4’high thuja green giants last spring 5’ apart. And they are growing like weeds, so the conditions are good. I want the trees to grow to their full height for a screen from my neighbours. AT the moment the trees are sparse and I would like to thicken them up. I understand that pruning the tips back while maintain a conical shape is important. But, do I cut back the main leader?
