Trimming Globe Cedars

(Question)

If you cut a globe cedar to the ground will new growth start in the spring or will it just die out?

(Answer)

Hello!

Cutting an evergreen right to the ground is never a good idea. You don’t say why you are considering this, but I’m guessing that the cedar has suffered some damage or die back. If this is the case, then our answer to a similar previous inquiry may be helpful to you. You can find it here.
