Thanks for contacting Toronto Master Gardeners. Bilberry Plant or Vaccinium myrtillus is also called whortleberry, European blueberry and huckleberry. It’s a small shrub that is often confused with blueberries. The shrub grows wild in the arctic and subarctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It is known for its numerous health benefits including the improvement of night vision. Bilberry plants are difficult to source however if you search online it is easy to find sources for bilberry seeds.
Good luck with your search.
