Nematodes in a Veggie Garden?

(Question)

Hello,
We have grubs in our lawn and veggie garden. I can’t find anything that says you shouldn’t use nematodes in a veggie garden, so I just wanted to see if you had any input on this. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t use nematodes on a veggie garden?
Thanks!

Thanks for contacting Toronto Master Gardeners.  Yes, you can use beneficial nematodes in your vegetable garden. This previous post on nematodes will provide information on when and how to apply them.  To control grubs it is also important to clean up the plant debris in your vegetable garden in the fall.
