Thank you for contacting the Toronto Master Gardeners. Your photo is a beautiful image of Rudbeckia laciniata ‘Hortensia’ or sometimes refered to as Rudbeckia laciniata ‘ Golden Globe’
This is a hardy herbaceous perennial which is hardy in zones 3-9. It grows upwards in clumps of 150-210cm tall and 60-90cm wide. This perennial has been know to spread quite aggressively and has a tendency to flop due to the weight of the double flowers. It grows best in full sun to part shade in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil.
This perennial will be a great addition to the back of any border.
