Planting Star Flower Triteleia or any spring bulbs now

(Question)

Hi
I have Star Flower Triteleia bulbs and I know I should plant them Sept-Nov, but if I plant them now (almost mid of April) will they die or it is ok to plant them now? Thank you very much.

Thank you for contacting the Toronto master gardeners with your inquiry concerning Triteleia bulbs

You are in luck, these corms can be planted in fall along with other spring flowering bulbs or in the spring when all danger of frost has passed. Once you are ready to plant select an area in full sun (6-8hrs), dig a hole 10cm deep and space bulbs 7.5 cm apart. You will see beautiful clusters of deep blue funnel shape flowers in July-September.

It should be noted that these corms are borderline hardy in our climate. If you planning on overwintering them in tha garden make sure to mulch them heavily for winter protection. This link provides additional information for this beautiful plant.
